Vor einiger Zeit haben wir das Bild eines Samples vom Nike Dunk SB High Pro QS Tauntaun hier in der Dunkbar gezeigt und vereinzelt sind weitere Bilder im Internet aufgetaucht. Heute wollen wir euch detaillierte Bilder dieses Dunks High präsentieren, der bei uns als November Special kommen soll. Als Inspiration gilt die aus der Star Wars Saga stammende und auf dem Eisplaneten Hoth lebende Kreatur Tauntaun. Sowohl der/ das Tauntaun, als auch sein eisiger Lebensraum standen wohl bei der Farbgebung für den Dunk Pate. Der Colorway des Tauntauns nennt sich Medium Grey – Smoke Cool Grey GRCL/ Fum-GRI. Hört sich kompliziert an, aber wenn man einen genaueren Blick auf die Bilder wirft, scheint der Materialmix noch komplizierter zu sein. In der Upper Heel und der Toebox wurde ein extrem weiches, fransiges Wildleder verwendet, dass vermutlich an das zottelige Fell des Tauntaun angelehnt ist. Das Wildleder des Sidepanels ist im Gegensatz dazu steifer und verleiht dem Schuh Stabilität. Die Overlaybereiche und der Swoosh weisen eine kordartige Struktur auf. Aber schaut euch einfach die Bilder an und urteilt selbst.

Recently, we have shown the image of a sample from the Nike Dunk SB High Pro QS Tauntaun here in the Dunkbar and just a few more pictures of the US November Realease appeared already on the Internet. Today we want to present you detailed images of this Dunk High which is also planned for Germany/ Europe as a November special. As the inspiration is regarded the on the ice planet Hoth living creature Tauntaun from the Star Wars Saga. Both the Tauntaun, as well as its icy habitat were probably the pattern for the color scheme of the Dunk. The Coloway of the Tauntaun is called Medium Grey – Smoke Cool Grey GRCL/ Fum-GRI. Sounds complicated, but if you take a closer look at the pictures, the mix of materials seems to be even more complicated. In the upper heel and the toebox is an extremely soft, fringed suede used, that is probably inspired by the shaggy fur of the Tauntaun. The sidepanel is made of harder suede and gives the shoe stability. The overlay areas and the Swoosh have a kind of corduroy structure. But just take look at the pictures and judge for yourself.
